Your donations helping support the RNLI

If you’ve visited our office at the marina, you may have noticed our collection box for the RNLI, the lifeboat charity that celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2024.

Hundreds of lives are saved each year, thanks to its 24-hour search and rescue service, which covers the UK coastline and some inland waterways and is manned almost entirely by volunteers.

You can find out more about the charity at rnli.org.

Every bit of change dropped in the box really does help. When we last emptied the box in November, we had £114 in donations, making a total of nearly £400 that we’ve collected over the last five years.

Thank you to everyone who has been generous enough to donate, it is very much appreciated.
